My second child is currently going through Fugett Middle School and we are very pleased with the Principal, who really takes the time to get to know his students, and the teachers who really care to have the student be the best that they can be. Am very pleased with how things are handled.

We moved to West Chester recently. The school and staff have been extremely attentive to my 6th grader, helping him adjust both socially and academically. We came from the suburbs of Boston and my son has an IEP. The school was very cooperative and helpful in transitioning all my son to a revised IEP. He is loving the school and we have been very pleased with all aspects of his experience at Fugett.

I think Fugett has great teachers. My mother has complained though about making contact with the guidance counsualors. Some teachers aren't teaching on the right level though and should be teaching higher level courses. I'm on the honor roll and teachers contribute that in helping before and after school in most cases.

I am disappointed in this school. Only one or two teachers at the most respond to your questions. Each marking period my sons grades have gone down. I have tried to keep up with the teachers via e-mail because I have to work full time for a living! But, I am ignored!I am very frustrated with this school and most of the teachers. I am considering moving to place my child in a different school.

All three of my children have gone through Fugett Middle School. There are basic classes and honor classes. The studetns in honors classes seem to get the better classes. The students are very aware of what track they are in. There are a number of extracurricular activities especially in sports and band. I am disappointed in the music chorus and art classes at Fugett. There doesn't seem to be a lot of homework at this school. There is an active PTO at Fugett.

For a well funded district, this school is far below minimal expectations in its large class sizes, lack of teacher competency and high complacency in administration.
